Table Tennis

Today our sports activity changes from big scale to a smaller scale. We played table tennis. It's been quite a while since I've last touch a ping pong bat. I had quite a time trying to control my strength cause I think I have too much power as the ball kept going off the table. I had alot of fun. Won't mind playing table tennis again.

breakfast at tiong bahru

Was awaken by my mom to have breakfast again. Last week we pass by the market after ah chang's porridge, so mom decide to eat at Tiong Bahru Market today. Wondering what other good food they have there. Hmm. I'll let the photos do the talking.

Cantonese 叉烧 (Char Siew) $4.

This 叉烧 is not the crispy kind with honey that I love but still very delicious.

油鸡面 (Chicken Noodles) is good as they give alot of sauce.

The chicken is tender and the noodles is smooth. Not much of flour taste.

Added another bowl of dumpling soup.

Nothing special about the soup or dumpling.

二姑 ate Kuey Chap. She said It wasn't nice so I didn't add the address.

But she was lucky that day to get double yolk. Seldom get to see.

Meeting up with buddies...

Weather:

It's been quite a while since I last meet up with my buddies. Met lili, hanxiang, yaosheng and lastly priscilla. It been really really long since I last saw priscilla. Three of them were late cause lili got singing lesson and the teacher never release on time. Heh. So we have to entertain ourselves first. I ordered quite alot of food like smoked salmon salad, tomato garlic soup, french fries and giant earthquake. Glad to see that everyone is doing well. We talk alot of crap stuffs and serious stuffs too. I almost paid the the wrong bill. Luckily, brother checked the bill. Phew~

Apparently, I was called 山菇 because of gigantic spoon and fork to mix the salad.

I think this is my third time eating Swensen's only wor.

Ordered the tomato garlic soup. Quite big in size.

It's really delicious and filling. Will crave for it definitely.

We have mango, chewy chocolate, mint, macadamia nut, butterscotch,

strawberry, cookies and cream and last one is choco mix.

Lili's order: Mega Burger

It's gigantic with so much filling. Slurp!

Yaosheng's order: BBQ Mushroom Chicken Burger

I'm not sure if it's nice. Forget to ask yaosheng.

Lili came to look for me

Lili told me the other day that she bought something for me. Heh. Now there's no need to wonder. Haha. She bought me a pen and stapler and little brother a cute lollipop shaker and a pen too. The pen is quite funky, I called it Mr Strawberry and Mr Banana. Suprisingly, the pens are quite nice to write.

I think for us to help my brother cheer 加油 for his O' levels.

I don't know what animal is this. Anyone tell me?

At the certain angle, Mr Strawberry looked quite fierce.

Meeting with Zx's friends...

Weather:

Meeting Zx's friends at Hanabi Japanese Restaurant located at Odeon Towers. We ate the all-you-can-eat buffet dinner price at $33++ per person. Hmmm. Comparing Hanabi and Ikoi (Mirama hotel), I would prefer Ikoi. Both japanese restaurants are charging at almost the same price but there is a difference between both food quality. I'm not really impressed by the sashimi, garlic rice and their compliementary prawns. There are still some food that is good though.

Had chawanmushi first. It's really small in portion.

Quite normal but don't take too much else will have high cholesterol.

Not sure what maki was it. But it was kind nice with that orange sauce.

On the left is Kimchi Yakiniku (Beef) and on the right is Stir-fried Yakiniku.

Both flavours are also tasty along with tenderness of the beef.

Sashimi is quite small piece. Though you can order many times.

Because of size and the freshness of the sashimi, when you put in the mouth you don't feel Shiok.

Another dish which is small portion is Spider Temaki (Soft Shell Crab).

Though small, but this one is really cripsy when you bite.

Don't know what is the sauce wrapping around the prawns.

Not a fasinating dish. Maybe because it's compliementary?

Haaa. Garlic fried rice.

The difference between Ikoi's and Hanabi's is their rice grain use.

I still prefer Ikoi's cause it has a stronger fragrance of garlic.

Tempura tempura.

Very Crispy and fresh. I had two rounds of it.

Nothing special about this shishamo.

Almost the same as the one bought from ntuc and fried it yourself.
