Done so many things today...

Weather:
Shuting and me took half day off and we met hx at bishan station then travel down to SITEX at Singapore Expo. As compared to the fair at Suntec, SITEX have nothing much really. Mostly all the big computer companies. They don't have much of those stalls that sells individual parts. I think the stuff most worth to buy is RAM. The price was cut slightly more than half. So much so on that, I was looking out for laptops. In the end, I bought myself a 15" MacBook Pro. Feeling so excited. I bought the MacBook Pro at no discount price of $3452 and add another $100 to upgrade RAM to 4GB, Office 2004:Mac and One earphone (don't know what brand). Thou don't have as much warranty as the ones selling at NTU but I think it's worth that price.

I'm so 山姑 (mountain tortise). Didn't know that they put in effort with the foam too.
I like their effort. Just make every dollar worth with that kind of outlook.

Since I don't need the earphone, I gave mine to Shuting. Hope she doesn't mind that it's cheap and hx bought a RAM for his PC too. It took us an hour to get home. While waiting for my dearest to reached my place, hx and me was having a short chat. Kind of got a handful of updates. Three of us had dinner at my place. Slightly afterwards, Kelward came to my place and we decide to catch a movie at Bishan Junction 8. We had a chat with Kelward about the dragonboat tragedy. Somehow the media wrote some things with a twist. Sigh. We are here in Singapore wanting news on them and somehow the things we know are not true. Like wth ! Change topic.

We caught Hitman at the threaters. Seriously I don't really catch the flow of the movie. There are so many question marks in my head. Sigh. Not really worth the watch. Definitely going to catch "The Enchanted" and "The Golden Compass".

Shocking News

Weather:
Heard from channel 8 news that the singapore dragonboat team was capsized by a current and causes 5 death. At that point of time, I prayed so hard that Kelward's name was not in the list. Though I might look calm on the outside, but on the inside of me I was going mad. Fortunately his name wasn't there but my heart still pounding like crazy knowing that 5 person have pass on doing sports.

Eventful day...

Weather:
Planned to make a trip down to Sim Lim Square with Shuting this morning. We are going there got get 500GB 3.5 inch portable hard disk. While waiting for Shuting, me and my brother walked to city chain and have a look at some watches. I kind of like one of the g-shock model. Anyone want to sponsor me as christmas present?

Anyway, went to Sim Lim and got alot of brochures on the way up. A few of the stores have 500GB Maxtor Basic Personal Storage pricing at $199. Most of the stores we went was out of stock except for one shop. At first the price was at $193, so we said we want two of it. The boss went to check for stock but was out of stock. He said he could still give us the same price if we were to come back on monday. But then, I don't have the time to come back so in the end I ask the boss whether we could get it today. So he said today's price is at $201, so we purchase it in the end. After all the walking and buying, I bring them to fortune centre to have minced pork noodles and then to sunshine plaza for some 点心 (tim sum).

This is Parklane Minced Pork Noodles. Order dry noodles will have a bowl of soup with one fishball.
And inside the bowl of noodles, have one dumpling. Haha. This bowl of noodles is really delicious.
Should give it a try if you haven't try it.

One order of minced pork noodles and a bowl of laksa.

This bowl of laksa is full of cockles. *Slurp!*

Another round of 鸡脚 (chicken feet). Information by my brother.
He said that the chicken feet wasn't that nice to eat.

虾饺 (Prawn dumpling) wasn't as good as the ones at Old Hong Kong Restaurant.

叉烧包 (Roast Pork Bun) and milky custard bun.
I quite like the roast pork bun there. You have to eat the bun hot else it wouldn't be nice.

The inside of the milky custard bun.
My cute brother say as compared to the ones in hong kong this isn't nice.
I'm like DUH~

Pork Ribs Cube. Nice smell and soft.

肠粉 (Cheong Fun). Two on the right is prawns and the one on the left is 叉烧 (roast pork).
I would say that the roast pork ones are better. And the prawns flavoured ones are best at Old Hong Kong.

烧卖 (Siew Mai). Don't need to say much. Not nice.

Homecoming!

Weather:
Fetch precious brother from the airport at 1am this morning. His planed was delayed for about an hour. Aw man~ wonder what happen? Heh. So tired. Should have took a nap before fetching him. He bet he enjoyed his trip to Hong Kong cause he sms back saying that he doesn't want to come home so soon. He came back home with one big trolley luggage and a hang carry. Hmm. Maybe it's time for me to plan the next trip to Hong Kong.
