Dinner @ Jumbo

Weather:
We went to Jumbo Restaurant at East Coast Park for dinner today. It's been years since I last visited this restaurant. There is alot of changes to the outlook and feel of the restaurant. I wondered what kept them going after so many years. I won't say that all of their seafood are fantastic. Anyway, let's enjoy seeing the pictures of FOOD...

That's mummy with her new bag that we bought for her.

This is 象拔棒 (Geoduck Clam). When I first ate it, I fell in love with it.
This is an expensive dish. There are two ways of eating it.
One is sashimi style and the other way is to slightly cook it in soup.

The shell of the clam. This clam weights about 1.3kg.
It cost about $103 but it's GOOD.

Brother ordered this abalone for mummy in additional to the present.
Quite soft and tasty though it's small in size. We ate the gravy with a bowl of white rice too.
Just simply delicious.

麦片虾 (Cereal Prawns).
Ehh...the cereal smells good, taste good.
Think nothing about the prawns cause my mind is still with the Geoduck Clam.

A dish that will not be missing for celebration is Crabs.
We ordered two different-style-cooking Crabs.
Singapore famous Chili Crab and the not so famous Pepper Crab.

Both crabs that we ordered are with crab roe. Yummm.
And how can we eat chili crab without 馒头(bun), yeah.

That's little brother who requested me to take a picture of him eating that crab roe.
And that is the end product. Lol. It looks like some neo-print.

This baby squid is not as nice as the ones at Newton Circus.

A complete meal comes with vegetables.
On the left is 豆苗 (don't the name in english) and the right is Kang Kong.
豆苗 is well stir fried, not so salty. Yay yay! As for the kang kong, not spicy enough.

扬州炒饭 (Yangzhou Fried Rice).
Dad and dearest needs rice to be full. lol.

After dinner, we went to Toa Payoh Central cause mum wanted to get herself some hairdye and at the same time I went to NTUC to get some cold fishballs (Longan). When we got home, we use the homemade ice cream cake that brother and me make to celebrate mum's birthday. Alright, I only did the crust and I had some complains about it. Hope mummy really enjoy this day and hope she will be happy always.

The ice cream cake was so hard that the whole cake can be lifted without a plate support.
