Phuket, Thailand [ Day 4 ]

Weather:
Last day of the trip. We still have a city tour which is included in the package. We will be sharing a mini bus with 5 more people. The driver pick us up first then pick up the other 5 people from other hotels. City tour is inclusive of visiting the shooting range, aerial terrain vehicle, temple, local products shop, cashew nuts factory and Wang Talang jewellery factory.

Cecilia posing with the extreme huge cigarette box.
She looks so cool. Haha.

While waiting for the bus to arrive, we are bored so we played "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil plus devil" and "喜,怒,哀,乐". Are we good?

It's good bye to our Patong City Hotel and the neighbourhood nearby.

Scenery from another beach while waiting for a family of three to join us.

While waiting, we are still snapping.
The sun is just so warm and cozy.

That's our first group photo of the trip.

Shooting Range

Phuket's gun shooting is much more expensive than the ones in pattaya.

Two caucasian father and son trying out the disc shooting.
The father missed everything. And the son got a few discs. Not bad.

Aerial Terrain Vehicle (ATV)

This isn't cheap either 800 Baht for 30 minutes.
And if you were to spoil certain parts of the vehicle, you have to pay accordingly.

This ice cream vehicle is so cute.
Ice cream uncle have been going around us for quite a while.

Wat Chalong temple is Phuket's biggest and most important buddhist temple. Wat Chalong is associated with the revered monks, Luang Pho Chaem and Luang Pho Chuang, both of whom were famous for there work in herbal medicine and tending to the injured. Revered monk Luang Pho Chaem will be remembered and pray to for 100 years next year.

Wat Chalong Temple

Tree filled with wishes.

Big and small elephants outside the temple.
Saw some indians pray to it too.

Just outside the temple. It's a hot day today.
The sun makes the temple look so bright.

Brother and dearest represent me to pray.
Pray for a save trip and good health to all my love ones.

Well furnished interior with marble and colorful ceiling.

Dearest and brother putting gold paper on each of the monk statue.

That's the entrance and the door of the wax museum of the monks.

This are the three monk. The one in the middle is famous one, Luang Pho Chaem.
I think it was Judy who ask me, "Are they real?". So funny.

Another temple with something special in it.
And that's our second group photo.

The one in light green is our small size tour guide, Ji Ji.
She was a university student major in english. Hmm.
Oh..she's smaller in size then me. (okay..out of the point)

Just now I mention special something in the temple right.
This temple contains 舍利子. 舍利子 happens when a person who is devoted to god dies and it will be in his remains. Not everyone who is devoted to god has that.

2nd Floor of the temple.
Many buddha on the first and second floor.
Each have a different pose.

Cashew Nut Factory

Me and Cecilia with the giant cashew plant.

They have a cashew plantation.
That is the actually plant with the fruits.

That's the butt of the fruit which is our cashew nuts.
Apprently, one fruit only have one nut.

That's the worker opening up the nut.
The nuts are being split into two pile. One pile are nuts in a whole and the other pile are nuts that are half.
The shell of the nuts can be reuse as oil for the engine and the fruit itself can be make into cashew fruit juice.
One plant with many uses. Good. Next time I eat cashew nut I will think of the process and all of the hard work.

We won't be getting anything from the jewellery store as it's not our cup of tea. So we just went in to have a look see. This jewellery store is the largest in Phuket and they have their own oyster farm to make pearls.

Wang Talang Jewellery

That's a model of how they actually keep their oysters.

This picture of the three revered monk are also found in the entrance of the jewellery store.
It shows how important this monks means to them.

Some of the unrefined jewels.

Here's more pictures.
And the last picture shows a worker burning some particles are high temperature to join the particles together.

That's the end of our Phuket trip. We did really have a lot of fun and we bought lots of food back. Oops. While we were on the plane, I was flipping the Tiger Airways magazine. There is this cute toy plane with sound. So we ask the air stewardess where can we get the sovenoir. Guess what. She told dearest that this sovenoir need to pay. We are like HUH. It's not that we don't have the money to buy ma and besides not all sovenoirs are free. Maybe she thinks we sit budget airline won't have the money to buy sovenoirs.

Going back to Singapore

That's the sovenoir box.
3 planes in one box. Batteries and keychain provided.

That's the front and side view of the plane. So cute.
We also tested out the sound of the plane. Sound really like a small small plane taking off and landing.
We also make a video of it (below). It's fun. Enjoy!

Something else I never mention. It's our 4th year anniversary today. Happy Happy! Dearest got the Phuket trip as gift on this very special day. I still love you very much. I definitely enjoy myself on this trip. More trips to come, right dear?
